Summary

The purpose of this bill is to create the misdemeanor offenses of operating a motor vehicle while writing, reading or sending a text-based communication and using a wireless communication device to send or receive conversation while operating a motor vehicle and establishing criminal penalties. §17C-14-15 is new; therefore, strike-throughs and underscoring have been omitted
