Summary

The purpose of this bill is to authorize the board of directors of the West Virginia Health Information Network and the West Virginia Health Care Authority to determine and, with the approval of the Joint Committee on Government and Finance, to implement the most efficient and cost effective method for providing an interoperable health information network, which may include transferring the assets and liabilities of the current health information network to a private nonprofit corporation.
