Summary

The purpose of this bill is to eliminate the provisions of Code authorizing state police to inspect vehicle inspection stations, require all vehicle inspection stations to post a surety bond with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, and to establish conditions under which an inspection station will forfeit its surety bond and inspection permit. Strike‑throughs indicate language that would be stricken from a heading or the present law, and underscoring indicates new language that would be added.
