Summary
The purpose of this bill is to establish the reckless driving offense of unlawful use of a wireless communication device while operating a motor vehicle on a street or highway. The bill provides exceptions and conditions for certain lawful uses and assesses the penalties of reckless driving contained in Code, §17C-5-3. §17C-14-15 is new; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
