Commending Archi Marrapu.

WHEREAS, Archi Marrapu, a student at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Fairfax County, was chosen as the Eighth Congressional District of Virginia's winner in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge; and

WHEREAS, established in 2014, the annual Congressional App Challenges is an official initiative of the United States House of Representatives and one of the nation's most prestigious competitions for K–12 computer science, with more than 11,300 students from 374 Congressional districts submitting 3,645 mobile applications in 2023; and

WHEREAS, for her entry in the Congressional App Challenge, Archi Marrapu, who has presented multiple TEDx Talks in the past, developed VOYCE, a mobile application designed to help individuals overcome their fear of public speaking; and

WHEREAS, Archi Marrupu's VOYCE app provides valuable feedback and analytics and training courses to help users improve their public speaking abilities, encouraging individuals to find their voice and to share their ideas with their communities; and

WHEREAS, Archi Marrapu has displayed tremendous talent, creativity, and dedication through her development of VOYCE and shows great promise for a future as an app developer and technology leader; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Archi Marrapu hereby be commended for her selection as the Eighth Congressional District of Virginia's winner in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Archi Marrapu as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her impressive achievement and best wishes for her continued success.
