SENATE BILL NO. 26 AMENDMENT IN THE NATURE OF A SUBSTITUTE (Proposed by the Senate Committee on Transportation on January 22, 2014) (Patron Prior to Substitute--Senator Alexander) A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 56-573.1:2, relating to the Public-Private Transportation Act of 1995; notice.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 56-573.1:2 as follows:

§56-573.1:2. Presentation to committees of the General Assembly.

Before a comprehensive agreement is entered into on projects valued in excess of $1 billion, the Secretary of Transportation shall present the proposal submitted pursuant to §56-560 and resulting public comment to the Senate Committees on Finance and Transportation and the House Committees on Appropriations and Transportation.
