Commending Monte Robinson.

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson is a respected electrical engineer and entrepreneur who served as founder and president of Robinson Engineering, Inc., in York County for 25 years and who recently became a member of the engineering and systems team at Jewett Automation, Inc., in Richmond; and

WHEREAS, after earning a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Monte Robinson worked at Newport News Shipbuilding and then with a smaller company handling industrial controls as he acquired experience that would enable him to start his own business; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson founded Robinson Engineering and built the company into a market leader for the design, specification, and delivery of electrical controls utilized by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs); and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson and Robinson Engineering have delivered hundreds of electrical control systems across various automation platforms to OEMs around the world, providing a piece that is vital to the effective operation of these companies' products; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson and Robinson Engineering built a sterling reputation over the years for quality, efficiency, and reliability, earning the trust of many long-term customers as well as steady referrals for new business; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson has given generously of his time to mentor aspiring electrical engineers by providing internship opportunities to students at Christopher Newport University and in the York County School Division; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson lent his expertise to Christopher Newport University by helping the school's new electrical engineering program develop its curriculum and receive accreditation, an effort that will contribute greatly to the success of many future electrical engineers; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson recently merged Robinson Engineering into Jewett Automation in Richmond, leveraging that company's resources and systems engineering and manufacturing capabilities to better serve his clientele; and

WHEREAS, Monte Robinson has demonstrated the difference a person can make in this world with the attention to detail of an engineer, the drive of an entrepreneur, and an unwavering commitment to helping others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Monte Robinson hereby be commended for his accomplishments in engineering and business over his career; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Monte Robinson as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievements and best wishes in his future endeavors.
