WHEREAS, Social4Good, a local organization dedicated to educating, engaging, and empowering women to make a difference in the Northern Virginia community, celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2024; and
WHEREAS, since its founding in August 2019, Social4Good has provided $215,000 of in-kind and financial support to more than 40 local nonprofit organizations; and
WHEREAS, members of Social4Good gather monthly to learn more about critical needs in the community and to identify organizations and initiatives to assist in an effort to address these needs; and
WHEREAS, with the dedicated support of Social4Good's volunteers, many nonprofits in the Northern Virginia area have been able to identify their goals and work towards their missions more efficiently and effectively; and
WHEREAS, Social4Good supported various projects in 2023 to promote the well-being of others, including stocking food pantries, packing school lunches, and providing funding for scholarships for adult students; and
WHEREAS, the kindness and generosity of Social4Good and its members have helped to make the Northern Virginia area a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Social4Good hereby be commended for its service on the occasion of its fifth anniversary; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Faith Boettger, founder of Social4Good, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's contributions to the Commonwealth.
