WHEREAS, E. Brock Price of the Cedar Run District of Fauquier County was honored as a 2011 Citizen of the Year by the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS, Brock Price has worked to maintain and protect Fauquier County's historic farming and agricultural heritage, helping to ensure that this precious natural resource will be available for the benefit and enjoyment of current and future county residents; and WHEREAS, Brock Price, who owns a farm in Fauquier County, has focused on the preservation of open spaces, pastures, woods, and farmland, all of which contribute to Fauquier County's pastoral beauty; and WHEREAS, in addition to preserving undeveloped spaces, Brock Price also has devoted much time and energy to improving the quality of life for the people of Fauquier County; and WHEREAS, Brock Price is committed to contributing to and improving his community, generously giving of his time and talents for the betterment of Fauquier County's citizens; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend and congratulate E. Brock Price as a 2011 Fauquier County Citizen of the Year for the Cedar Run District; and, be it RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to E. Brock Price as an expression of the General Assembly's gratitude for his dedication to the community of Fauquier County. |
