WHEREAS, the York County Little League 9–11 All-Stars baseball team won the Little League 9-11 Baseball State Tournament in July 2023; and
WHEREAS, the York County All-Stars defeated West Springfield Little League by a score of 7–6 to secure York County's first Little League title for the 9–11 age group and the county's first Little League title in nearly two decades; and
WHEREAS, the York County All-Stars won the state championship in commanding fashion, going undefeated throughout the tournament and outscoring their opponents 83–10; and
WHEREAS, the York County All-Stars were led in the championship game by Ayden Allbrook, who pitched a complete game and struck out six batters; and
WHEREAS, the York County All-Stars roster also includes Harper Bailey, Rylan Butler, Brody Drewry, Trent Drewry, Jackson Ham, Parker Humphreys, Griffin Leach, Jaxson Morgan, Trever Tenkley, Adrian Thompson, and Will Warren; and
WHEREAS, as a result of winning the state championship, the York County All-Stars enjoyed the honor of competing in the Tournament of State Champions against the top teams from Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the success of the York County All-Stars is the result of the hard work and dedication of the young athletes, the leadership and guidance of their coaches, and the unwavering support of their families and the entire York County community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the York County Little League 9–11 All-Stars baseball team for winning the 2023 Little League 9-11 Baseball State Tournament; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the York County Little League 9–11 All-Stars baseball team as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the team's achievement.
