A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered 10.1-202.3, relating to state park fees; active duty military and veterans.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 10.1-202.3 as follows:

§10.1-202.3. Rental and service fees; active duty military and veterans.

The Department shall establish a policy that entitles the bearer of acceptable identification showing that the person is on active duty military service or is a military veteran to pay no fees for access, parking, or entry into any state park, and to pay a rate equal to 50 percent of the Department's established rates for cabin, yurt, and camping site rentals; shelter rentals; boat launch access; horse trailers; swimming; or equipment rentals.
