HOUSE BILL NO. 1163 Offered January 15, 2014 A BILL to amend the Code of Virginia by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:30, relating to allocation of federal funds by the Commonwealth Transportation Board for the establishment and maintenance of trails. ---------- Patrons-- Chafin, Campbell, Kilgore, Morefield and O'Quinn ---------- Committee Referral Pending ----------

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Article 15 of Chapter 1 of Title 33.1 a section numbered 33.1-223.2:30 as follows:

§33.1-223.2:30. Allocations of federal funds by Commonwealth Transportation Board for the establishment and maintenance of trails through the Department of Conservations and Recreation.

Any federal revenues made available to the Commonwealth for transportation purposes and eligible for use in the establishment and maintenance of trails through the Department of Conservation and Recreation may be allocated for such purposes at the discretion of the Commonwealth Transportation Board.
