Summary

Administration of government; boards and councils; cleanup. Aligns authorizing language across certain boards and councils. The bill also increases from 18 to 21 the nonlegislative citizen members of the Asian Advisory Board and the Council on Women. The bill removes the power and duty of the Council on Women to review and comment on budget and appropriation requests and grant applications. The bill revises the purpose of the Council on Women from identifying ways in which women can reach their potential to advising the Governor on matters pertaining to women and ways to improve their educational, professional, cultural, and governmental status within the Commonwealth.
