Summary

Fixing period of suspension of sentence; sexual battery; sexual abuse of a child under 15 years of age. Allows the court to fix the period of suspension of sentence for a period not to exceed three years for the offenses of sexual battery and sexual abuse of a child 13 years of age or older but under 15 years of age. Current law allows a court to fix the period of suspension for up to the maximum period for which the defendant might originally have been sentenced to be imprisoned.
