Summary
Requests the President, and directs the Secretary of Defense, to transmit to the House of Representatives a report on how the reading of rights under Miranda v. Arizona (Miranda rights) may affect: (1) Operation Enduring Freedom rules of engagement; (2) Operation Enduring Freedom post-capture interrogations and intelligence-gathering; (3) U.S. overall Operation Enduring Freedom counterinsurgency strategy and objectives; (4) U.S. military operations and objectives in Afghanistan; and (5) risks to members of the Armed Forces operating in Afghanistan.
