Summary

DHS Cybersecurity On-the-Job Training and Employment Apprentice Program Act This bill amends the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to direct the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to establish a DHS Cybersecurity On-the-Job Training and Employment Apprentice Program to identify DHS employees for work in matters relating to cybersecurity. In carrying out the program, the DHS Under Secretary in charge of the program shall, among other things: (1) submit a monthly report on the status of cybersecurity positions throughout DHS, (2) develop a curriculum for the program, (3) recruit DHS employees to participate in the program, (4) determine the best means for training and retention of employees enrolled in the program, and (5) maintain information on employees enrolled in the program.
