WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
recognize Gloria C. Arriaga on the occasion of her retirement as | ||
executive director of the Alamo Area Council of Governments after | ||
40 years of outstanding service with the organization; and | ||
WHEREAS, The Alamo Area Council of Governments is a | ||
voluntary association of local governments and organizations | ||
that serves a 12-county region around San Antonio with planning, | ||
information, and organizational activities; and | ||
WHEREAS, During her tenure with the Alamo Area Council of | ||
Governments, Mrs. Arriaga has served in many capacities and has | ||
had direct responsibility for administration, the Area Agencies | ||
on Aging, the Bexar Mental Retardation Authority, and the | ||
council's housing and workforce services; she began serving as | ||
executive director on February 1, 2007; and | ||
WHEREAS, | ||
WHEREAS, An exemplary and dynamic leader for the Alamo Area | ||
Council of Governments, Gloria Arriaga fulfilled her many | ||
responsibilities with the organization with dedication and | ||
enthusiasm, and she will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. | ||
