| WHEREAS, Aaron Joseph Garcia of Troop 76 in McAllen is | ||
| being honored by the Boy Scout program for attaining the rank of | ||
| Eagle Scout, a rank achieved by only five out of every 100 boys in | ||
| the program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This fine young man displayed outstanding | ||
| leadership through the planning and execution of a service | ||
| project that has benefited his community; he secured material | ||
| from local businesses and led a group of scouts and adult | ||
| volunteers in painting and refurbishing facilities at the Palmer | ||
| Drug Abuse Program location in McAllen; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Aaron advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, | ||
| Second, First, Star, and Life classes before reaching the rank of | ||
| Eagle Scout by following the principles of the Scout oath and | ||
| promise; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By becoming an Eagle Scout, this personable young | ||
| man has brought great distinction to himself, his family, his | ||
| troop, his community, and his state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Aaron is an exceptional representative of the | ||
| State of Texas and a sterling example to all who have the good | ||
| fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Aaron Joseph | ||
| Garcia on earning the rank of Eagle Scout and congratulate him on | ||
| his great achievement; and, be it further | ||
