WHEREAS, The Reverend Dr. K. Brian Davis Sr. is concluding | ||
his service to Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall, | ||
and the congregation's members are gathering on May 21, 2023, to | ||
honor him for his invaluable contributions to the church; and | ||
WHEREAS, On October 23, 2022, Dr. Davis celebrated his fifth | ||
pastoral anniversary with Mount Zion MBC; during his exemplary | ||
tenure, he has led the church with conviction and compassion, | ||
earning the respect and admiration of his congregants as well as the | ||
members of the greater community; and | ||
WHEREAS, In addition to meeting the needs of his flock, | ||
Dr. Davis has served as an educator with the Marshall Independent | ||
School District; and | ||
WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure, Dr. Davis has wholeheartedly | ||
committed himself to advancing the mission of Mount Zion MBC, and | ||
his leadership has provided valued inspiration and guidance to his | ||
community of faith; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the 88th Texas Legislature | ||
hereby commend the Reverend Dr. K. Brian Davis Sr. for his service | ||
as pastor of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall and | ||
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he | ||
embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Dr. Davis as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
Senate. |
