| Isabel Euresti | ||
| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas honors and | ||
| commemorates the life of Isabel Euresti, who died January 18, 2019, | ||
| at the age of 88; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Isabel Euresti was born on April 18, 1930, to | ||
| Santos and Lina Trevino; she was a lifelong resident of | ||
| Brownsville; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She and her beloved husband, the late Benjamin | ||
| Euresti Sr., married on August 2, 1948, and they enjoyed more | ||
| than six decades of marriage together; they were blessed with | ||
| three sons, Benjamin Euresti Jr., Roland Euresti, and Daniel | ||
| Euresti Sr.; her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren | ||
| were a source of much pride and joy for her; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She and Mr. Euresti owned and operated a successful | ||
| business, Ben's Glass and Metal, for nearly 30 years; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A devout Christian who practiced her faith in her | ||
| daily life, Mrs. Euresti was a longtime member of Primera Iglesia | ||
| Presbiteriana Mexicana, where she taught children's Sunday | ||
| school classes and was a member of La Sociedad Dorcas; she was a | ||
| founding member of Sociedad Femenil Elizabet, and she | ||
| established a benevolence fund to aid people in need; and | ||
| WHEREAS, She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, | ||
| and she leaves behind memories that will be treasured forever by | ||
| all who were privileged to share in her life; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 86th | ||
| Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to the bereaved | ||
| family of Isabel Euresti; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| her family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas | ||
| Senate and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in | ||
| memory of Isabel Euresti. | ||
