Ricardo Roel Salinas | ||
WHEREAS, | ||
WHEREAS, Ricardo Salinas was born June 20, 1935; he was | ||
married to Alida Reyna Salinas for 55 years, and the couple was | ||
blessed with five children and seven grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, He served the nation with distinction in the armed | ||
forces for 21 years and retired with the rank of captain; he was a | ||
graduate of The University of Texas at Austin; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Salinas enjoyed a long and productive career | ||
as an engineer; he worked with the Texas Department of | ||
Transportation for 13 years before creating his own engineering | ||
and surveying consulting firm, Salinas and Associates, | ||
Incorporated, where he worked for 35 years; and | ||
WHEREAS, Among his many contributions to his hometown of | ||
McAllen were service on the city commission, the international | ||
bridge board, and the McAllen Economic Development Council; he | ||
was a longtime, faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help | ||
Catholic Church; and | ||
WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband, father, and | ||
grandfather, and he leaves behind memories that will be treasured | ||
forever by his family and many friends; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, | ||
83rd Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby extend sincere | ||
condolences to the bereaved family of Ricardo Roel Salinas; and, | ||
be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
his family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the | ||
Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do | ||
so in memory of Ricardo Roel Salinas. | ||
