| WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to | ||
| recognize Dalton Ritter, who is retiring from the Texas | ||
| Department of Transportation after 37 years of outstanding | ||
| service to the state; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Ritter began his career in state service on | ||
| October 12, 1976; he has contributed to a high degree of | ||
| integrity in the external audit function of the agency through | ||
| his professionalism and expertise; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career, he has been noted for his | ||
| reliability and his extraordinary people skills; he has been able | ||
| to incorporate the most recent professional practices and has | ||
| collaborated with his peers from across the country in such | ||
| organizations as the American Association of State Highway and | ||
| Transportation Officials; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Talented and resourceful, Mr. Ritter has handled | ||
| his responsibilities with exceptional efficiency and dedication; | ||
| he has provided the members of his staff with a positive work | ||
| environment and has served as a mentor to countless fellow | ||
| workers; and | ||
| WHEREAS, An exemplary public servant, he is respected and | ||
| admired by his colleagues, and his presence at the Texas | ||
| Department of Transportation will be greatly missed; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 83rd | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Dalton Ritter on | ||
| his exceptional service to the people of Texas as an employee of | ||
| the Texas Department of Transportation and extend to him best | ||
| wishes for continued success in all his endeavors; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for | ||
| him as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate. | ||
