BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 130.0012(b-1), Education Code, is | ||
amended to read as follows: | ||
(b-1) The coordinating board shall authorize [ |
||

||
hygiene at a public junior college that offers a degree program in | ||
that field, has a main campus located in the county seat of a county | ||
with a population greater than 200,000, and includes territory in | ||
at least six public school districts located in two counties. | ||
Subsection (g) applies [ |
||
senior-level courses offered under this subsection. [ |
||

SECTION 2. Sections 130.0012(b-2) and (b-3), Education | ||
Code, are repealed. | ||
SECTION 3. The changes in law made by this Act to Section | ||
130.0012(b-1), Education Code, apply beginning with funding | ||
recommendations made under Section 130.0012, Education Code, for | ||
the state fiscal biennium beginning September 1, 2017. | ||
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
