| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 644, Transportation Code, | ||
| is amended by adding Section 644.006 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 644.006. ENFORCEMENT OF ELECTRONIC LOGGING DEVICE | ||
| REQUIREMENTS. State funds may not be used to implement or enforce | ||
| the federal electronic logging device requirements of 49 C.F.R. | ||
| Part 395 or state rules adopted to implement those requirements. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
