WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Bernice | ||
Brown of McGregor, who passed away on March 2, 2011, at the age of | ||
96; and | ||
WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Mrs. Brown was born | ||
in Elkhart on June 12, 1914, to James and Olivia Gray; she shared | ||
many happy years of marriage with her husband, G. C. Brown, Sr., | ||
with whom she had three children, G. C., Wanda, and Belta; and | ||
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Brown was further blessed | ||
with 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and she enjoyed | ||
doting on them at every opportunity; and | ||
WHEREAS, Bernice Brown lived a caring and purposeful life, | ||
and she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all who | ||
held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bernice Brown and | ||
extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her | ||
children, G. C. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Carolyn, Wanda Blanchette | ||
and her husband, Earl, and Belta Fowler and her husband, Raymond; to | ||
her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and to her other loved | ||
ones; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bernice | ||
Brown. | ||
