R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Kountze High School 7-on-7 football team has
  qualified for the 2013 Texas 7-on-7 Association State Tournament;
  and
         WHEREAS, These accomplished athletes earned their trip to the
  state competition after turning in an impressive performance at the
  qualifying tournament on May 18, 2013; playing in the late spring
  heat, the team advanced to the finale, where it fell to Jasper High
  School in a hard-fought match; and
         WHEREAS, The team's second-place finish allows its members to
  match their skills against those of other top squads in Texas as
  they vie for the title of Division II champion at the state
  tournament on July 11-12, 2013, in Leander; and
         WHEREAS, These talented young men have distinguished
  themselves as competitors of exceptional ability and dedication,
  and they may take justifiable pride in their achievements; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the Kountze
  High School 7-on-7 football team on qualifying for the 2013 Texas
  7-on-7 Association State Tournament and extend to its members
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         R
  ESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
