R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Women's History Month is held in March to celebrate
  the myriad contributions made by women in every field and facet of
  our society, and this observance provides a fitting opportunity to
  recognize the exemplary service of Yvonne Colon-Villalobos; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Colon-Villalobos has distinguished herself
  through her dedicated efforts as a member of the Socorro City
  Council, and the skill and professionalism she has demonstrated in
  this important role have earned her the respect and admiration of
  her fellow Texans; and
         WHEREAS, Through her deep commitment to her duties,
  Ms. Colon-Villalobos greatly benefits the citizens she serves, and
  her achievements make her a worthy role model for other women
  seeking public office; and
         WHEREAS, The Lone Star State is fortunate to have passionate
  and engaged leaders like Yvonne Colon-Villalobos, and she may take
  justifiable pride in her contributions and in the inspiring example
  she has set for others; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Yvonne Colon-Villalobos for her service
  as a member of the Socorro City Council and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Colon-Villalobos as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
