R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Principal Amy McAfee of Crandall Middle School won
  distinction for herself and her campus with her selection to attend
  a summer institute at The Principals' Center at the Harvard
  Graduate School of Education in 2022; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1981, The Principals' Center offers
  professional development programs to school leaders from around the
  world; its summer institute allows participants the opportunity to
  take part in a weeklong workshop on leadership development led by
  Harvard faculty members and other national and international
  experts; attendees from Texas are selected by the Charles Butt
  Foundation through its Raising School Leaders program, which covers
  all expenses for the summer institute, including travel, lodging,
  and tuition; Ms. McAfee was one of 85 educators from across the Lone
  Star State to attend the 2022 institute; and
         WHEREAS, Amy McAfee has been an educator for nearly three
  decades, and she is entering her 10th year as principal of Crandall
  Middle School; she previously worked for the Mabank Independent
  School District as a teacher, an instructional coach, a counselor,
  and an elementary and middle school assistant principal; she holds
  a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and a master's
  degree in education from Texas A&M University-Commerce, as well as
  certifications in school counseling and administration; and
         WHEREAS, Through her skill, dedication, and professionalism,
  Amy McAfee is helping to provide a strong academic foundation for
  the students of Crandall Middle School, and her selection for this
  prestigious program represents a significant milestone in her
  career; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Amy McAfee on her participation in
  The Principals' Center summer institute at Harvard University and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her
  important work; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. McAfee as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
