WHEREAS, Tom Banning, chief executive officer of the Texas | ||
Academy of Family Physicians, was presented with the Primary Care | ||
Champion Award by the Texas Primary Care Consortium at the | ||
organization's 11th annual summit in Houston on November 3, 2023; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, The Primary Care Champion Award is given to an | ||
individual who has demonstrated exceptional vision, initiative, | ||
and advocacy in alignment with TPCC's mission to ensure that all | ||
Texans benefit from accessible, equitable, and sustainable primary | ||
care; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Banning recently celebrated his 25th | ||
anniversary with the Texas Academy of Family Physicians; he was | ||
selected for the award for his longstanding involvement in health | ||
care reform efforts at the state and national levels; and | ||
WHEREAS, Tom Banning has greatly benefited his fellow Texans | ||
through his steadfast commitment to advancing a cause of vital | ||
importance, and he is indeed deserving of this prestigious | ||
accolade; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Tom Banning on | ||
his receipt of the 2023 Primary Care Champion Award from the Texas | ||
Primary Care Consortium and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Banning as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
