WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Christian University student | ||
body and the TCU Student Government Association have traveled from | ||
Fort Worth to Austin to visit the State Capitol on February 24, | ||
2015; and | ||
WHEREAS, The TCU Student Government Association acts as the | ||
voice of the student body, providing an effective channel through | ||
which students express concerns and offer suggestions to the | ||
university administration; and | ||
WHEREAS, The organization advocates on behalf of | ||
approximately 10,000 individuals enrolled at TCU and works to | ||
ensure that their views are reflected in policies implemented by | ||
the university; and | ||
WHEREAS, Accompanying this notable group is the chancellor of | ||
the university, Dr. Victor J. Boschini Jr.; and | ||
WHEREAS, TCU is an outstanding university with an exceptional | ||
student body, and its Student Government Association works to | ||
benefit all TCU students as they develop a solid educational | ||
foundation for future achievement; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor Texas Christian University students and | ||
the TCU Student Government Association and extend to all TCU | ||
representatives here today sincere best wishes for an enjoyable and | ||
informative day in Austin; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
