| WHEREAS, Chandler Carter and Elizabeth Porter of Highland | ||
| Park High School achieved great distinction by winning the Class 6A | ||
| girls' doubles championship at the 2015 University Interscholastic | ||
| League Tennis State Tournament; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Joining other top high school competitors at Texas | ||
| A&M University on May 12 and 13, Ms. Carter and Ms. Porter turned in | ||
| a notable performance, blazing through the girls' doubles bracket | ||
| to capture the crown with a straight-set win; and | ||
| WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the 2015 UIL state | ||
| tournament, Chandler Carter and Elizabeth Porter have continued the | ||
| Highland Park High School tradition of athletic achievement, and | ||
| the duo may take justifiable pride in the skill and dedication they | ||
| have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Chandler Carter and Elizabeth | ||
| Porter on winning the 2015 UIL Class 6A girls' doubles tennis state | ||
| championship and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared | ||
| for Ms. Carter and Ms. Porter as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
