WHEREAS, Members of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce | ||
are visiting the State Capitol on February 8, 2011; and | ||
WHEREAS, Formerly the Humble Area Chamber of Commerce, this | ||
notable organization works to promote the growth and advancement of | ||
the cities of Kingwood, Humble, Atascocita, and Spring; the group | ||
has nearly 1,300 members, primarily representing small businesses; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce has been | ||
ably led by past president Mike Byers and current president Charles | ||
Dromgoole, whose efforts have helped attract and keep businesses in | ||
the community; and | ||
WHEREAS, The direction and planning provided by the Lake | ||
Houston Area Chamber of Commerce contribute immeasurably to the | ||
economic growth of the region, and this special day provides a | ||
fitting opportunity to recognize the achievements of the | ||
outstanding civic leaders who participate in chamber activities; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby welcome the Lake Houston Area Chamber of | ||
Commerce to the State Capitol and commend all those associated with | ||
the group for their dedicated service; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the chamber as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
