R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker concluded his tenure as constable for
  Precinct 4 in Kerr County on December 31, 2020, drawing to a close a
  notable career in public service that spanned more than four
  decades; and
         WHEREAS, Appointed in 2011, this esteemed law enforcement
  professional was chosen to complete the unexpired term of former
  Constable Robert Terrill by the Kerr County Commissioners Court; he
  fulfilled his duties with distinction, earning the respect and
  admiration of his constituents, who subsequently reelected him two
  times; and
         WHEREAS, Constable Huffaker brought to his post a wealth of
  experience gained while working as a peace officer in the Kerr
  County Sheriff's Office, the Kerrville Police Department, and the
  Uvalde County Sheriff's Office; and
         WHEREAS, Gene Huffaker's dedication, professionalism, and
  commitment to public safety have greatly benefited the citizens of
  Kerr County, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a career well
  spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his life; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Gene Huffaker on retiring as the
  constable for Precinct 4 in Kerr County and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Constable Huffaker as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
