R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, LGBTQIA+ students demonstrated remarkable courage
  and initiative by testifying at the Texas State Capitol on behalf of
  the rights of the LGBTQIA+ communities during the 2021 legislative
  sessions; and
         WHEREAS, Traveling to Austin from across the Lone Star State,
  these outstanding young Texans appeared before House and Senate
  committees and spoke with admirable passion and eloquence on urgent
  legislative matters of great import to the LGBTQIA+ communities,
  and their testimony ensured that the voices of LGBTQIA+ young
  people will not be silenced; and
         WHEREAS, The students who testified included Charlie,
  Kayden, Sunny, Clara, Ben, Indigo, Libby, Laura, Landon, Grayson,
  Kai, Maya, Eli, and Adelyn; and
         WHEREAS, Each of these young LGBTQIA+ leaders has helped
  further inclusion and equality in the Lone Star State, and they may
  indeed take pride in knowing that their bravery, commitment, and
  determination are an inspiration to all Texans; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend the LGBTQIA+ young
  people who testified before the Texas Legislature in 2021 and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
