| WHEREAS, Tanner Miller of Gilmer has earned great distinction | ||
| in 2014 as a member of the Upshur County 4-H program; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Coy and Jodie Miller and a freshman at | ||
| Union Grove High School, Mr. Miller captured several Grand Champion | ||
| and Reserve Champion titles in the Brangus, Braford, and other | ||
| categories at livestock shows across Texas, Oklahoma, and | ||
| Louisiana; in addition to enjoying outstanding success during the | ||
| 2014 show season, he received the prestigious 4-H Gold Star Award at | ||
| the District 5 Gold Star Banquet in October; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has been involved in the | ||
| Upshur County 4-H club for the past seven years, and he currently | ||
| serves as county council president and as a 4-H teen leader in the | ||
| Mountaineers 4-H, Upshur 4-H Shotgunners, and Diana Busy Bees 4-H | ||
| clubs; outside of his 4-H activities, Tanner is an active member of | ||
| the Union Grove FFA Chapter, has played football at Union Grove High | ||
| School and is active in his church youth group; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through his accomplishments and his dedication to | ||
| the ideals of the organization, Tanner Miller has earned the | ||
| respect and admiration of his fellow 4-H members, and he is indeed | ||
| deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Tanner Miller on his many | ||
| achievements in 4-H and that he be extended sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Miller as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
