| WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has distinguished | ||
| herself in her responsibilities as an intern in the office of State | ||
| Representative Victoria Neave Criado during the 88th Legislative | ||
| Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff as a Mexican American | ||
| Legislative Caucus intern, Ms. Rodriguez has provided vital | ||
| assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in | ||
| addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public | ||
| service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the | ||
| issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ms. Rodriguez is a student at St. Mary's | ||
| University, where she serves as president of the Multicultural | ||
| Language Association and as vice president of IGNITE, an | ||
| organization that encourages young women to run for public office; | ||
| she has received a number of awards, including the Madeleine | ||
| Scholarship, and she was named a 2022 Charles B. Rangel Scholar; a | ||
| native of Eagle Pass, she is the founder of Maverick County Young | ||
| Democrats; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez has performed her duties | ||
| as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed | ||
| deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, | ||
| be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Monserrat Garcia Rodriguez for her | ||
| service as a legislative intern in the office of State | ||
| Representative Victoria Neave Criado and extend to her sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Rodriguez as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
