H.R. No. 2135

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
of Ricky Charles Monk of Livingston, who passed away on April 20,
2013, at the age of 55; and
WHEREAS, The son of Charles and Madaline Simmons Monk, Ricky
Monk was born on July 29, 1957, in Mineral Wells; he spent many
happy years with his wife, Annette, and the couple were the proud
parents of six children; and
WHEREAS, Through the years, Mr. Monk also served as a source
of wisdom and inspiration to his three beloved grandchildren and
his many nieces and nephews; and
WHEREAS, While the life of Ricky Monk ended far too soon, he
will always be remembered with great tenderness and affection; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ricky Charles Monk and
extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
Annette Monk; to his daughters, Marie Monk, Jeanette Lavalais and
her husband, Darrell, and Shanda Mingus; to his sons, Kevin Mabry
and his wife, Ashley, and Josh Moore and his wife, Christiana; to
his mother, Madaline Monk; to his brother, Rocky Joe Monk, and his
wife, Karen; to his sisters, Jeanie Hallmark and her husband, Bill,
Donna SanMiguel and her husband, Richard, Charlene Boren and her
husband, Dan, and Millissa Evans and her husband, Roy; to his
grandchildren, Kentarious Lavalais, Darrell Lavalais, Jr., and
James Anthony; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ricky Monk.
