R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dr. Teresa Camalita Lenoir of Georgetown, a
  legislative aide for State Representative Alma Allen, celebrated
  her 75th birthday on May 1, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Born in 1938, Dr. Lenoir completed her bachelor's
  degree in history at St. Joseph's College for Women and holds a
  master's degree in social studies from Brooklyn College, a master's
  degree in counseling-education from St. John's College, and a
  doctorate in education administration from Columbia University;
  she held several administrative positions in New York and then
  joined the Houston Independent School District, where she served as
  a dean and then as a principal; after retiring from her
  distinguished career in education, she became a legislative aide
  and director for Representative Allen; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan is the proud mother of six
  children, Maia Lenoir Corbitt, John Babb, Christopher Babb, Lee
  Yurista, Jeanette Lenoir, and Shelby Lenoir; she has also been
  blessed with seven treasured grandchildren, Atticus Corbitt,
  Wilson Corbitt, Xavier Babb, Dorothy Babb, Nicholas Smyers, Dean
  Yurista, and Gaia Yurista; and
         WHEREAS, With the passage of another year, Teresa Lenoir may
  reflect with pride on her wide-ranging accomplishments and on the
  many significant contributions she has made in behalf of her fellow
  citizens, and it is indeed a pleasure to honor her at this time;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Teresa Camalita Lenoir on her
  75th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Lenoir as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
