R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
  memories of Robert Caraway of Winnie, who passed away on February
  23, 2017, at the age of 78; and
         WHEREAS, The son of William and Martha Caraway, Bob Caraway
  was born in Delano, California, on August 20, 1938, and grew up with
  the companionship of a brother, Billy Jack, and sister, Mary; a
  longtime resident of Winnie, he was the owner of Gulfway Lumber for
  many years before retiring; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Caraway was preceded in death by his first wife,
  Lillie, and his second wife, Carol; fortunate enough to find love
  again, he shared a rewarding marriage with Janet Caraway, and he
  took immense pride in his son, Victor, his three stepchildren,
  Aaron, Fred, and Brenda, and his numerous step-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, While his loss is difficult to bear, Bob Caraway
  leaves behind numerous friends and loved ones whose lives are far
  richer for having known him, and he will always hold a treasured
  place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Robert Caraway and
  extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Janet Caraway; to his son, Victor Caraway, and his wife, Connie; to
  his stepchildren, Aaron Godeaux, Fred Rorex, and Brenda Richardson
  and her husband, Lonnie; to his brother, Billy Jack Caraway, and his
  wife, Mary Jane; to his sister, Mary Stearman, and her husband,
  Benny; to his nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren; and to his
  other relatives and many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bob
  Caraway.
