WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five | ||
decades, Vicky Sue and Jackie Paul Driskill of Lubbock celebrated | ||
their 50th wedding anniversary on December 22, 2012; and | ||
WHEREAS, Jackie Paul Driskill and the former Vicky Sue Elliff | ||
exchanged the vows of matrimony at the First Baptist Church of Tulia | ||
on that memorable day in 1962, and over the course of their | ||
marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Driskill count among their blessings a | ||
fine family that includes 4 children and their spouses, Chad | ||
Driskill and his wife, Kathryn, Chana Langham, Dr. Chris Driskill | ||
and his wife, Nancy, and Cory Driskill and his wife, Suzanne, as | ||
well as 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and | ||
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 50 years, Mr. and Mrs. | ||
Driskill can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know | ||
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many | ||
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Vicky Sue and Jackie Paul Driskill | ||
on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best | ||
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Driskill as an expression of high regard | ||
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
