R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Fred and Erika Brown of Lubbock celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on March 23, 2013, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Fred Brown and the former Erika Marie Hampel
exchanged the vows of matrimony in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1963, and
over the course of their marriage, they have found in each other a
loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Brown count among their blessings a
fine family that includes two daughters, Deanna Tucker and Karen
Miller and her husband, Kerry, a son, Mike Brown, and his wife,
Melissa, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Fred and Erika Brown have
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Fred and Erika Brown on their 50th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Brown as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
