R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, Ben and Betty Dolezal of Houston
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 15, 2020; and
         WHEREAS, Ben Dolezal and the former Betty Sitz met after her
  high school graduation and were united in matrimony at St. Francis
  de Sales Catholic Church in Houston in 1970; over the years, their
  family has grown to include three cherished sons, Daniel, Brian,
  and Wayne; and
         WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Dolezal
  is a veteran of the U.S. Army who enjoyed a career with Dow Chemical
  while Mrs. Dolezal was employed with the Cypress-Fairbanks
  Independent School District; they have embarked on many trips with
  their family, and in retirement, Mr. Dolezal has dedicated himself
  to expanding his culinary skills, to the great delight of his wife;
  and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  half century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
  grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ben and Betty Dolezal on their 50th
  wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
