R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to helping women and families, the Brazos
  Pregnancy Clinic plays an important role in the community; and
         WHEREAS, The clinic provides a range of free services,
  including pregnancy tests, confidential life coaching, one-on-one
  parenting instruction, and maternity and baby supplies; moreover,
  the clinic offers an abstinence program, which is presented by
  students for students, and education on such topics as parenting,
  sexually transmitted diseases, and adoption; and
         WHEREAS, The clinic serves more than 500 clients a year, in
  addition to benefiting numerous other area residents with its
  outreach efforts; during 2011-2012, over 2,500 young people in
  Tolar, Granbury, and Lipan schools and churches received
  information from the Brazos Pregnancy Clinic about sexual health
  and the challenges that can accompany early, unplanned pregnancies;
  and
         WHEREAS, This important organization has demonstrated an
  unwavering commitment to women and families, and its endeavors in
  their behalf are indeed worthy of special recognition; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor the Brazos Pregnancy Clinic for its
  contributions to Hood County and the State of Texas.
