R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Every year, members of the community gather to honor
  and remember fallen officers at the Grand Prairie Police Memorial
  Service; and
         WHEREAS, Conducted by the Grand Prairie Police Department,
  this solemn ceremony recognizes peace officers who have given their
  lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of their
  fellow citizens; and
         WHEREAS, The city's police department works diligently to
  ensure the well-being of local residents; to uphold its mission,
  the agency seeks to foster community partnerships and to implement
  an innovative and holistic approach to law enforcement; and
         WHEREAS, Texans owe a profound debt of gratitude to the men
  and women who risk their lives every day to preserve the peace of
  their communities, and the Grand Prairie Police Memorial Service is
  a fitting tribute to the heroism of those brave officers who have
  made the ultimate sacrifice; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commemorate the annual
  Grand Prairie Police Memorial Service and extend to all those in
  attendance sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable
  event; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Grand Prairie Police Department as an expression
  of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
