WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories | ||
of Linda Fincher Nevil of Anna, who passed away on June 2, 2020, at | ||
the age of 73; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of William and Martha Fincher, the | ||
former Linda Fincher was born on February 25, 1947, in Shreveport, | ||
Louisiana, and grew up with three sisters, Nancy, Martha, and | ||
Debbie; she graduated from Baylor University in 1969 and spent most | ||
of her life in the Dallas area; and | ||
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Nevil was blessed with | ||
the love and support of her husband, Mike Nevil, with whom she | ||
shared a rewarding marriage that spanned half a century; she was the | ||
devoted mother of two children, Brad and Celeste, and she took great | ||
pride in her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Gran | ||
Gran"; a woman of strong faith, she believed deeply in the power of | ||
prayer, and she brightened many lives with her beautiful smile and | ||
angelic voice; and | ||
WHEREAS, Linda Nevil showered those she held dear with | ||
unconditional love, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and | ||
compassion that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate | ||
enough to know her; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Linda Fincher Nevil | ||
and extend heartfelt sympathy to her relatives and friends; and, be | ||
it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Linda | ||
Nevil. | ||
