BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. This Act may be cited as the Colton Burgin | ||
Extension Act. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 61.058, Parks and Wildlife Code, is | ||
amended by adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
(d) The commission may not provide for a special open season | ||
under this section with a duration of less than seven consecutive | ||
days. This subsection does not apply to a special open season the | ||
commission provides for under this section for migratory game birds | ||
or waterfowl. | ||
SECTION 3. As soon as practicable after the effective date | ||
of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt or amend | ||
rules as necessary to comply with the changes in law made by this | ||
Act. | ||
SECTION 4. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
