BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 225.190, Transportation Code, as added | ||
by Chapter 927 (H.B. 3512), Acts of the 87th Legislature, Regular | ||
Session, 2021, is redesignated as Section 225.214, Transportation | ||
Code, and amended to read as follows: | ||

HIGHWAY. (a) The portion of State Highway 164 in Limestone County | ||
between the western municipal limits of Groesbeck [ |
||
River [ |
||
Trooper Chad M. Walker Memorial Highway. The designation is in | ||
addition to any other designation. | ||
(b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall: | ||
(1) design and construct markers indicating the | ||
designation as the Trooper Chad M. Walker Memorial Highway and any | ||
other appropriate information; and | ||
(2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at | ||
appropriate intermediate sites along the highway. | ||
SECTION 2. To the extent of any conflict, this Act prevails | ||
over another Act of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, | ||
relating to nonsubstantive additions to and corrections in enacted | ||
codes. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
