relating to licensing and reimbursing certain foster group homes | ||
that provide services to victims of sex trafficking. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 42.0534 to read as follows: | ||
Sec. 42.0534. FOSTER GROUP HOME FOR VICTIMS OF SEX | ||
TRAFFICKING. The executive commissioner shall adopt rules | ||
governing the licensing and reimbursement of an independent foster | ||
group home that provides shelter and care for victims of sex | ||
trafficking. The rules must: | ||
(1) include a procedure for obtaining a license for | ||
the home; | ||
(2) provide for reimbursement in the name of the | ||
organization that manages the home; and | ||
(3) provide for reimbursement at the intensive service | ||
level rate for residential child care provided by the home. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
