BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 21.057(e), Education Code, is amended to | ||
read as follows: | ||
(e) This section does not apply if a school is required in | ||
accordance with Section 1006 [ |
||
Succeeds Act (20 U.S.C. Section 6312(e)(1)(B)(ii)) [ |
||
|
||
|
||
teacher who does not meet certification requirements at the grade | ||
level and subject area in which the teacher is assigned [ |
||
|
||
by that Act. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
