relating to requiring school districts and open-enrollment charter | ||
schools to post the annual compensation of the superintendent or | ||
chief executive officer on the district's or school's Internet | ||
website. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 11.201, Education Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (b-3) to read as follows: | ||
(b-3) A school district that maintains an Internet website | ||
shall post on the district's website through a clearly identifiable | ||
link that appears in a prominent place on the home page of the | ||
website the annual compensation received by the superintendent, | ||
including a list of each amount paid by the district as: | ||
(1) an annual salary; | ||
(2) a bonus; | ||
(3) a benefit; or | ||
(4) an allowance or stipend for technology, housing, | ||
transportation, or other miscellaneous expenses. | ||
SECTION 2. Section 12.136, Education Code, is amended to | ||
read as follows: | ||
Sec. 12.136. POSTING OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER | ||

serving as educational leader and chief executive officer, | ||

(2) a bonus; | ||
(3) a benefit; or | ||
(4) an allowance or stipend for technology, housing, | ||
transportation, or other miscellaneous expenses. | ||
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
